The 1st Part

(Waiting to see Granna, at the airport)

Get ready to see a lot, I mean a lot of pictures from our trip to Bama! We had a great, but very busy trip. And what better place to start, but at the beginning. The wonderful Mom that I have, flew in a couple of days before our trip, to only help me on the drive back to Bama with the kiddos. There was no way, that I was driving home by myself with 2 kiddos (for the 1st time) and good thing I didn't. It took us way, I mean way over the normal time it usually takes to get there. Turns out buddy boy, doesn't like to travel or be tied down in the car seat during the day.
I love this picture, it is so sweet!

After a long day of...When is Granna coming? Is it time for Granna to come? How much longer? She was finally in her Granna's arms.
So, the last time that Granna saw Brennan, he looked small and little. Not at all, how he looks now. Jolee had been telling Brennan all day.. Granna is coming and she has curly hair. So when Granna bent down to talk to Brennan, you could imagine the shock that came from her (seeing him in pictures, is different that real life). Granna kept saying.. he is grown and changed so much, where did our preemie boy go (I ask myself that alot. I still have the bills coming in for a preemie stay in the NICU, but have no preemie baby to show for that). Thank the Lord for the second part of that sentence.
Jolee told Granna... he is a big boy now. He rolls, He eats baby food, etc, etc!

Ok, back to our trip. The reason we went to Bama, was for an adoption/birthday party for the twins! My Aunt and Uncle have had the twins, since birth (well since after their stay in the NICU). And after alot of prayers and waiting and more prayers and more waiting, these sweet little girls adoption was finalized last month. So they had a big party to celebrate and we just had to be there and share in this very joyous occasion. Isabella and Kathleen had won our hearts over from day 1, and no one in the family could imagine them not being ours. So after a very, very stressful ride home we celebrated with lots and lots of food, lots of games, lots of fellowship, bouncy houses and wonderful memories. It was so good to be home and be with the fam!
Grandad and Jolee at the party!
It was said for everyone to wear their Bama attire, to the party since it was on a game day. However being married to my wonderful husband, I didn't know that you had options of wearing any other clothes on a Saturday. Because in the Ford household, it's just routine to wear your Bama clothes or Bama jewelry on Saturdays.

Isabella was a little more careful eating her's.

When I said we partied, I meant it. After all the fun that morning at the adoption/birthday party our family got back together and had a bonfire and hayride for all the children that night. We had a great time and the kids loved it! My 2 were there, my brother's 1 was there, My Uncle's 2 were there and My Aunt's 5 + 1 (foster child) were there and that's not mentioning all of the parents and grandparents and we were actually missing my other Uncle's 2 kiddos! And let me mention, all the kids were 10 and under.
Granna and Brennan at his 1st bonfire and hayride. He was exhausted, but he hung with us. He watched the bonfire and then slept on the hayride.
My Uncle Gary and my Jolee Belle!

A wonderful fun but busy day. How could it not be wonderful, junk food all day and then roasting marsh mellows and a hayride that night. We slept soooo good that night!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kathleen and Isabella! Welcome to the family!

Many more days of post and pictures of our activities to come from this trip!
