A couple of weeks ago, Jolee's teacher sent home a letter with an outlined Owl. It said work as a family and decorate this owl with "natural" products. Jolee and I went on a little walk and gathered leaves, bark and some more stuff from outside and then we raided the pantry for noodles, pecans and any other natural products we could find.
I think it gave us a glimpse of our life in the future. Both of us sitting up late at night with her finishing homework and school projects. It was so fun working together and our little Owl turned out so cute.
The owl's are now hanging up on the classroom wall for Fall Decoration. They are all so cute hanging up on branches with some colorful fall leaves from Alabama. Yes, that is why I haven't posted lately, we took a trip home! When her teacher found out we were going to Alabama, she asked Jolee to bring a baggy full of different color fall leaves back and they would put them around their owls on the tree. And let me just say, she took her job seriously!
