Stop, Drop and Run!

This month at school, they are talking and learning about their community. They have been practicing the fire drill (which Jolee does not like) she says it is way too loud. The fire department came and talked to them last Thursday and they brought the Fire Truck. They were all so excited, they all had their little fire hats on and they all got to climb in the truck, spray the water hose, and some of the kids even held the axe. Not my cautious little girly girl, she said ummmm NO! I can't say that I blame her, because 1st of all who lets 4 year old's hold an axe?

Brennan and I went up to the school that day to take part in the fire truck festivities. He did great, I think he enjoyed watching all the kids. They were all so cute and asked cute little questions too. I loved getting to watch Jolee participating in class and enjoyed getting to see what her day was like at school. I got to also see her and her little friends talking and laughing together, it was sooo cute. Man, she is growing up so fast.
Watching and Listening to the Firemen tell them about the firetruck.
Jolee in the driver's seat!
Her preschool class posing with the firemen!
Jolee using the hose. I asked Jolee, later that day what she learned? Her answer was, if your clothes are on fire....you STOP, DROP, and RUN! Run Roll one of those R words.
My little fire fighters!
Jolee and her friend Abby, heading back to the classroom in what looks to be in a deep discussion about that firetruck.

She was so excited, she got to keep her fire hat, she got some sticker's, one for her and one for her little brother and they gave them a coloring book. She was telling her Daddy all about her day at school and all about the firetruck. In her words...It was so cool!
