9 months

And here we go again, he is already 10 months old but yet I'm just know putting up a post on his 9th month. The months are flying by so fast.

To my sweet little boy,
On December 16th, I walked in to your room to get you after your morning nap, your were laying on your belly looking at me thru the slats of your bed. I walked to your closet and picked you out some clothes to wear for the day and as I turned back towards you, you were sitting up in your bed just smiling at me (like your knew, your were big stuff now). Just within seconds you sat up from a laying position all by yourself for the very first time! I was so shocked! After saying YAY Brennan, I  immediately said...hold on, stay just like that and let me get my camera!

And you did, you stayed put so I could capture one of your firsts.

Also this month, you have mastered drinking out of a sippy cup. You don't really care for baby food much any more, you usually just turn your head away from it. All you really want is stuff you can pick up yourself or stuff off of our plates. My boy is growing up!

Your favorite book right now is..Night Night Baby. Granna gave it to you, when you were first born. It is a touch and feel book that has baby's in it. You get so excited when we open it, you coo and babble at them on every page... you LOVE it!

Another milestone that you have mastered in your 9 month, is you crawled for the 1st time. I totally missed that first. You were at Poppy and MiMi's (Bro. David and Sis. Sherri's) house when you did it! As I was walking back in the front door, I see Boo running towards me hollering, Poppy is jumping up and down and MiMi is on the floor and I see Jolee clapping..saying yay brother. You can imagine my face and how shocked I was to see this upon entering in the front door. Report has it, it was the perfect setting, you and MiMi were in the floor, she had just put Buddy (their new little puppy) in the cage and was moving it back. You were trying to get to the puppy, so as you started crawling, MiMi kept moving the cage back further and further until you were up on all 4's. Who was he really crawling after, MiMi or the puppy? Well it depends on who you ask. And technically I still haven't seen you up on all 4's crawling yet, but you can get anywhere you need to, by army crawling!

In your 9th month of life, you also experienced your 1st Christmas, you loved, loved, loved ripping the paper off of your presents.

You also went and saw Santa for the 1st time. You just stared at him. You looked at him, then you turned and looked at me, then turned back to look at him, then turned to look at me, as if to say...who are you and Mom why did you sit me with him? You didn't smile, but you didn't cry.

The thing is, I take them their 1st year when they are babies to get a picture with Santa. After that, I let them decide if they want to do it or not. Jolee says no way and I'm ok with not standing in those horrible long lines to see Santa. Jolee even told me, to take you while she was at school so she wouldn't have to go see him.

You are such a happy boy. You smile and laugh all the time. You have stolen many peoples heart with your smile and laugh especially your Mama's.
My all time favorite moment with you is, when I come to get you out of your bed in the mornings or from a nap, I pick you up and you lay your little head on my shoulder and wrap both arms around my neck and hold me. Don't think for a second that I move, I stand perfectly still in that one spot savoring the moment of my little man's hands wrapped around my neck. It is the sweetest thing ever, I have learned not to move during our little moments like that, because as soon as you see your sister, you want down and head straight for her. All though I love that you love your sissy, I love that we have that special time and moment too!

I can not believe that 9 months have come and gone so fast! You truly are a blessing in my life and I love you so very much, happy 9 months! Looking at you now, you would never know what a hard little start you had on life. The Lord has truly blessed you and us as a family.

As I'm typing this, Jolee was beside me and said...Mommy, is he ever going to stop growing? I don't know who is having a harder time with you growing up and changing so much, me or your sister.
