1st Birthday Party!

We had little man's 1st Birthday Party on March 5th, at a park. We rented a pavilion, that was full of food, cake, ice cream, candy, balloons, kids, presents, laughter, smiles and most importantly the wonderful precious dear people, that we call our Florida family.

Our Nina made the cakes for us and they were so delicious and sooo cute!

It took him a bit to get into his cake, but once he started there was no stopping him. At one point, Silas and I were cutting cake and dipping ice cream for our guest and I looked over and the entire cake was almost gone!

I was so glad that Pappy and Granna, got to come join in our Birthday fun that weekend!

Brother Gordon and Brennan are big buddies these days and probably even more so, now that he took him to swing and slide.

When we got home, that night from the party we watched the video. I'm so glad Granna and Pappy took pictures and video's for me, because I had missed so much. Little Man at one point was shoveling it in his mouth with both hands and not even looking at his hands or the cake. It was hilarious!

Notice I said, it was hilarious. However, the next morning when he was still up screaming at 2:30 AM was not so hilarious. Bless his heart, he was pitiful. His little tummy was so tight. Between me, mom and dad we tried walking outside, mylicon, tylenol, bouncing, reading books, rubbing his belly, rubbing his back, finally he calmed down and he and I laid on the floor in the living room and both fell asleep.

So I'm guessing first time to have...pizza, cheese puffs, a entire cake to yourself and some ice cream, was a bit much for him. But hey it was his 1st Birthday and we just let him have fun!

I can't remember if I had told this story on her or not, but Jolee was my little helper bee getting ready for this party. She helped pick out decorations, food, etc. I had to go pick up 2 more table clothes for the party, so I picked up 2 solid colors that the 2 previous table clothes (the #1 ones) had in them. I picked them up and she said...mom what are you doing, I begin to explain well these are $2.00's cheaper and I thought we could just mix them in. She then said... mom he only turns 1 once. I really feel like at this point, I don't have to tell you what 2 table clothes I got...do I??

Little man hung in there all day and did so well. He really didn't understand, why once he opened a present and looked at it, I would take it way and give him another bag. We had to pull him back in, several times.

After his party, we played some more at the park, cleaned up, loaded up and then buckled him in, to head to the house (which by the way was a mess, but I didn't care and wasnt stressed out at all. Another perk to having his birthday party at the park.) I turned around to back out of my parking spot at the park and this is what I found...him asleep. He played so hard and I think he had a good little 1st b'day party!

The king on his little throne. Pappy and Granna got him this little chair for his Birthday. They gave both Jolee and Weston chairs with their names on it for their 1st Birthday, so little man now has his too!

I can not explain, how much it meant to us to have all who came to help celebrate Brennan's 1st year of life. You all have been such a sweet, loving, supporting part if his little life already and hold such a sweet, sweet  spot in my heart.
