A report from our week!

My little man (or I should say my "big" little man) had a GI appointment today, to go over his swallow suck test he had a couple of weeks ago. Long story short, when it was just a normal (the equivalent to just formula) in the bottle he does have some aspiration going on. It was actually kinda cool watching it on the screen, because I could even tell it would sometimes veer off the path. But when they thickened the formula (which would be equivalent to adding rice) in the bottle, it stayed on the right path. So saying all that, all we need to do is continue putting rice with his formula.
They are also going to switch him from Zantac to Prevacid, for his reflux to see if that helps the little guy out. At the appointment today, he weighed 17lbs and 4 ounces which puts him in the 50 percentile for his weight. And he is 25 inches tall. It is just so hard to believe and I know I say it all the time on here, but wow! It continues amaze me daily the growth and the mile markers he has hit, in his short little life. He had a hard little start, but he has sure made up for all that. But most importantly, it has all been blessings from the Lord, all that he has accomplished.
So all in all we had a good appointment with the GI and we don't have to see them for 3 months.
Oh, we also saw the ENT early this week and he had to do another scope on Brennan. That is just torture for a Mom, having to sit there and hold down your baby down while they stick a long noodle looking tube through his nose down to his throat. He was a lot more vocal about it this time, to say the least he did not care for that at all (but who would blame, the poor fellow) he screamed and screamed. His poor little face was beet red, even after it was over he still let the Dr. know, he was not happy. Every time I got him calmed down, the Dr. would start talking and then Brennan would start screaming again, it was pitiful. We also got a good report there. Doctor said there is still some swelling down there and his flap is still maturing, but he is pleased with the progress and continues to think in time it will all fix itself.
Praise the Lord, we had a couple of good Doctors visits this week!

Switching the subject to my school girl now. She has gone 4 days in a row this week and has absolutely loved it. Today was the first morning that I had trouble waking her up, she said Mom I'm just so tired. So my reply was, baby that's why when Mommy tells you to go to bed, you need to go to sleep and not sing "Annie" songs at the top of your lungs for 45 mins. But once I got her peepers open (by singing a crazy song, the things we moms do) she was up and ready to go. She has come home every day so excited telling us what all she did, who she played with, who she sat by, what songs she learned and Silas and I are always very excited to see and hear all of the stories. I don't know who is more excited really, her or us. We probably ask her 20+ questions wanting to know everything about her day, so we can soak it all in. I think even little brother gets excited to see her, at the end of the day. She will come running towards us and of course he gets hugs and kisses first, and his little arms and legs just go to kicking..it's precious!
Her teacher has given me a good report on her every day, so that makes Mom very happy and proud. I love looking into her cubby box and getting all the art and projects she has made that day out and letting her show them to me and tell me all about them.
On a different note, this is for MiMi (Sherri). You will never guess what I have had to do, the past couple of nights...wrap her chocolate milk cup with a paper towel around it. Because according to her, the cup is to cold and her hands will get cold and the one I love...MiMi wraps her cup up like that!
On a very, very different note. Silas got to come home real early from work yesterday. Which meant we had a good family meal around the table and played a game of (Toy Story Yahtzee) with Jolee. Both kids got to play and spend time with their good ole Dad, which you could so tell they enjoyed.
All in all it has been a great week, for everybody!
