Daddy Time

A little girl and her Daddy's relationship, is such a precious thing to watch and witness. It's not only fun and games or wrestling, but it's the quiet times in their laps watching cartoons or just talking about the day, that little girls need too. In this case, it was Jolee asking her daddy to sing her, her lullaby that he wrote for her before she was born. He used to sing it to her all the time, when she was a baby and even while she was in my belly. Now she asked for it every now and then. So Sat. night before bed time, she asked her Daddy to sing it to her. She crawled up in his lap and as he started singing, she closed her eyes and went to sleep in his lap. As he carried her to bed after he finished the lullaby, I wiped a little tear from my eye and thanked God for the wonderful, kind, gentle, loving Daddy and Husband he blessed me and my children's life with!

But it's not only little girls that need their Daddy, I'm learning. Little boys also need that special time too. Even though little man and Daddy can't do a whole together yet.... the fist bumps they give each other and the smile he gives to his daddy when he walks in the door at night after work, is precious. But laughs and cackles that Daddy gets, from Brennan when he sings "There is a Happy Land" to him would delight any ones heart and you can tell another special bond is forming between the two. These relationships, are truly an amazing gift from our GOOD God!
